Services are what customers book — a bath, a full groom, a nail trim. Each has a price and a duration.
Before you start: services live in categories, so you'll create a category first (the form prompts you if you have none).
Steps
- Go to Settings → Services and click New service.
- Fill in the basics:
- Name (e.g. "Full groom").
- Category — the menu section it belongs to.
- Species — dog, cat, or both. Only customers booking that species see it.
- Description — shown to customers when they book.
- Duration in minutes — this is how long it takes on the calendar.
- Base price — the standard price (in your account currency).
- (Optional) Set per-size or per-coat pricing so a large dog or a long coat costs more than the base price.
- (Optional) Add add-ons, choose which locations offer it, and set taxable / active.
- Click Save.
Pricing options worth knowing
- Per-size pricing — give each pet size (XS–XL) its own price and duration; blanks fall back to the base price.
- Price buffer ("estimate") — set an optional amount the final price can go up at the salon; the booking page then shows the price as an estimate.
- By request / off-schedule — for services without fixed slots (pet sitting, dog walking): customers *request* it and you get a notification instead of a booked time.
Good to know
- Get size and breed right on pets — size-based prices only work if pets have a size on file.
- Deleting a service is a soft-delete — it's hidden from the menu but its past appointments and history are kept.
