Take a booking deposit

1. Connect Stripe

  1. Go to Settings → Payments and click Connect with Stripe.
  2. Complete Stripe's onboarding (business and bank details). Stripe verifies your account.
  3. When you come back, the status shows Connected once Stripe confirms you can accept charges.

2. Set your deposit

  1. On the same page, turn on Ask for a deposit when booking.
  2. Choose the type: fixed amount (e.g. €15 per booking) or percentage (e.g. 30% of the service price).
  3. Click Save.

Customers pay the deposit at the end of online booking, and it's deducted from what they owe at the salon.

Good to know

  • Nothing is charged until Stripe is connected. If your rule is on but Stripe isn't finished, you'll see a reminder and no deposit is taken.
  • Deposits aren't refundable from the app. To refund one, do it from your Stripe dashboard.
  • It's one rule for the whole salon (not per service). Use a percentage if your prices vary a lot.
  • Deposits don't apply to off-schedule services (pet sitting or dog walking).
